Banana Bread Cheesecake is a delightful fusion that brings together the comforting flavors of moist banana bread and the creamy richness of cheesecake.   • 16 oz. full-fat cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs + 1 egg white
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 2 large or 3 small bananas – mashed (about 1 ¼ cups)
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (to taste)
  • ½ cup miniature chocolate chips
  • 3 oz. full-fat cream cheese – softened to room temperature
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter – softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar – sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 12 Tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts – for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a 9-inch springform pan by lining the bottom with parchment paper and greasing it.
  2. In one bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and flour until smooth for the cheesecake filling.
  3. In another bowl, mix vegetable oil, sugars, egg, and mashed bananas until combined. Fold in flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and chocolate chips.
  4. Layer half the banana bread batter in the pan, add the cheesecake filling evenly on top, then finish with the remaining banana bread batter.
  5. Bake in a water bath for about 1 hour and 30 minutes or until set in the center. Cool completely before refrigerating.
