  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 33 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 5 ounces cream cheese
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup blackberry filling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blackberry filling by heating blackberries with sugar, cornstarch, salt, and warm water until thickened. Set aside to cool.
  2. Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar; let it sit until frothy.
  3. In a bowl, combine warmed milk, melted butter, Greek yogurt, egg, and salt. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter, followed by brown sugar and cinnamon. Top with cooled blackberry filling.
  6. Roll tightly into a log shape, slice into pieces, and place in greased baking pans to rise again.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Prepare cream cheese frosting while cooling.
