  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 yellow onion, sliced
  • 3/8 cup Frank's RedHot
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Freeze chicken breast for 30-45 minutes to make slicing easier.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F. Butter the inside of hoagie rolls and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  3. Remove chicken from the freezer and slice thinly, then season with garlic powder and salt.
  4. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and sauté onions until softened (7-8 minutes).
  5. Toast hoagie rolls in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
  6. In the skillet, add seasoned chicken and cook over high heat until browned (about 5 minutes).
  7. Stir in Frank's RedHot sauce and top with Provolone cheese until melted.
  8. Assemble sandwiches by filling toasted rolls with the chicken mixture and sautéed onions.
