  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 large lemon (zest and juice)
  • 3 tablespoons + 1½ teaspoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a loaf pan by spraying with non-stick spray and lining with parchment paper.
  2. Separate each biscuit into two layers.
  3. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar with lemon zest and poppy seeds. In another bowl, melt the butter.
  4. Brush each biscuit layer with melted butter, then coat in the lemon-poppy seed sugar mixture.
  5. Arrange coated biscuits in the prepared pan, sprinkling leftover sugar mixture in between.
  6. Bake for 30–45 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before removing from the pan.
