  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 cup pistachio butter
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and yeast.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk warm milk, melted butter, and egg; add to the flour mixture and knead until soft dough forms.
  3. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread pistachio butter evenly over it.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  6. Roll into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
