  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced or chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 3/4 cups beef broth (non-alcoholic)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, breadcrumbs, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into four oval patties.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and fry the patties until browned on both sides (about 5–6 minutes each). Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until caramelized (7–9 minutes).
  4. Add butter; once melted, stir in flour to create a roux. Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder; return patties to the skillet. Simmer for another 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
