  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Maple Extract (or 1 tablespoon maple syrup)
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg yolk (or flax egg), light corn syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and maple extract; mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients while mixing on low speed.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar before placing on the prepared baking sheet.
