  • 1 pound white button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced thick
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried tarragon
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms gently with a damp paper towel.
  2. Slice the cleaned mushrooms thickly (about half an inch).
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add two tablespoons of butter to the skillet and let it melt.
  5. Place the sliced mushrooms in a single layer; sauté for about 4–5 minutes until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Lower the heat, add remaining butter and garlic; sauté for one minute until fragrant.
  7. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, oregano, tarragon, paprika, and black pepper; toss well to coat.
  8. Simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes before serving hot, garnished with fresh parsley or chives.
