  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, combine flour and powdered sugar. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then add egg yolk and cold water. Mix until combined.
  2. Roll out the dough and fit into a tart pan; trim excess. Line with parchment paper and fill with pie weights. Bake for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. While crust cools, beat together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth; stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Spread the cream cheese filling over the cooled crust and top with sliced strawberries arranged decoratively.
  5. Chill for at least one hour before serving to enhance flavors.
